Below the Belt: Understanding Pelvic Pain & Reproductive Health
Let’s Talk Pelvic Pain
Join us for an open and expert-led evening focused on pelvic pain, reproductive health, and self-advocacy in care—presented by Future Sinai.
Pelvic pain can affect people of all genders and is more common than you might think. From endometriosis and PMS to chronic conditions that impact daily life, it’s an area of health that’s often misunderstood and overlooked.
This engaging conversation will explore the complexity of pelvic pain, highlight emerging advancements in research and treatment, and offer practical advice for advocating for yourself in the doctor’s office.
We’ll hear from Dr. Nucelio Lemos, a physician, surgeon, and researcher at Sinai Health globally recognized for his work in gynecology, pelvic health, and neuropelveology, and Shay Freger, a PhD student and clinical researcher at McMaster University studying diagnostic and management strategies for endometriosis, with a focus on improving non-invasive ways to diagnose the condition and better understand how it develops.
Whether you live with pelvic pain or simply want to better understand it, this event will offer knowledge, tools, and a space for connection.
