Saturday July 15th, the Federation Tricolore Toronto (FTT) will hold its annual Bastille Day at The Distillery District, Toronto. The event, which attracted 4,000 visitors during its 2022 edition, has opted this year for the theme "French Islands".

In France, Bastille Day marks the anniversary of July 14th, 1789, the day the Bastille prison was stormed and captured by the revolutionaries, becoming the country's national holiday. This event is celebrated yearly in France and its territories with parades and fireworks. The goal of the TTF is to share French culture/traditions of the French community in Ontario with Toronto’s population.

This year’s theme of Bastille Day will focus on French islands which include Polynesia, Guadeloupe, Martinique, New Caledonia and many other territories. These islands will be in the spotlight on FTT's social networks but also during the event. Visitors will be invited to discover the secrets of these islands and share their culture through the booths and vendors.
