Positioned as a prelude to the internationally renowned MUTEK Montréal Festival, AVANT MUTEK Toronto offers a glimpse into the exploratory spirit that defines the festival highlighting cutting-edge practices in electronic music, digital art, and live performance.

More than a showcase of experimental sound, this Toronto edition reflects Link Music Lab’s ongoing commitment to platforming diverse artistic voices. Rooted in its connection to diasporic communities, the event highlights the presence of Iranian artists whose work bridges cultural memory with contemporary electronic forms. Alongside this, the inclusion of Indigenous artists from Toronto brings forward local perspectives that ground the night in the land and its living histories.

This year’s curated lineup features a range of local and international musical artists, including Arc & Texture (Caleb Klager & Vanese Smith), Èbony, NIMKII & Farbod Maeen, Honeydrip, Satoshi Tomii & Kamran Sadeghi, Masayuki Tomita and Orange Moon each contributing to a sonic landscape rooted in experimentation and innovation. Their visual artists include Karl Skene, Andrew O’Connor, InterAccess artists, Alex Maclen and CR34TE Montréal .
