If you see the words “Abstract Painting” and think we are just going to throw some paint at a canvas willy-nilly, well think again! Acrylic paint is a versatile water-based medium that allows for a lot of experimentation, which is what this workshop is about. We will apply techniques for texturing paint, glazing, sgraffito, and other cool ways of using acrylic that will have people asking you, “woah, how did you do that?”

What to expect:

– Broaden knowledge of acrylic painting techniques and possibilities

– Create one or more paintings using these techniques in class

– Expand creative possibilities for personal artistic projects
