--Annabelle Chvostek settling in Toronto with a residency at La Revolucion, Thursdays in April--

After spending most of the last two decades living in Montreal, Juno-nominated singer-songwriter

Annabelle Chvostek is setting down roots in Toronto's west end. She is now re-emerging in the Toronto music scene with an intimate local gig in The Junction at La Revolucion (2838 Dundas St West) every Thursday in April at 8pm with different local musical guests: Willow Rutherford (April 7), Amy Campbell (April 14), and members of the Echo Women's Choir (April 21). Her final show on April 28th will feature her Montreal band, Tony Spina on drums and Jeremie Jones on bass, with whom she's been playing, touring, and recording for over a decade. She will be spanning material from throughout her career as well as introducing new work.

Annabelle has co-written songs with Bruce Cockburn and was once a member of The Wailin' Jennys. After releasing two albums with Canada’s foremost folk label, Borealis Records, Annabelle has gone back to her independent roots to release her fifth solo recording in collaboration with NY producer Jeff Oehler of Beehive Productions. Her album Rise (2012) was nominated for a Juno award and a Canadian Folk Music Award. Resilience (2008) was nominated for a Canadian Folk Music Award. Her 2015 UK tour landed her a “Best International Act” nomination by Pure M Magazine (Ireland).

Annabelle's music has a strong radio presence in the UK. She has been featured and interviewed by BBC Scotland's Ricky Ross and BBC Radio 2's 'Whispering' Bob Harris. As a solo artist, she has

toured the UK yearly since 2006 and has recently toured the Netherlands, Germany and France.
