An Evening with Leslie Jamison, presented by Weston International Award
Celebrate 2025 Weston International Award–winner Leslie Jamison on Monday, September 15 at the Royal Ontario Museum.
The acclaimed American author of The Recovering, The Empathy Exams, Make It Scream, Make It Burn, and The Gin Closet is a leading voice in contemporary nonfiction, with work in The New Yorker, The Atlantic, The New York Times, Harper’s, and more.

The event features a presentation from Jamison followed by an interview with Canadian author Marni Jackson, and a book signing. The authors will the place of nonfiction writing in our world, the specificity and universality of storytelling, and the multifaceted nature of narrative. Books will be available for purchase.
This event is presented by Writers’ Trust of Canada and the Weston International Award, honouring career achievement in nonfiction.
