Alan Bloor

Alan Bloor is originally from Windsor, Ontario, where back in the mid eighties he was involved in a couple of musical outfits, one being a hardcore punk band called Binge of Violence which would often play in Detroit, Mich. After the breakup of the ensemble he decided to go solo.

Over a period of about ten years he studied classical guitar, Jazz bass and flamenco guitar. In the late 1980s he became involved as a background noisician in poetry readings in Detroit MI and eventually other projects followed such as extreme noise project Knurl in 1994, and Ambient project Pholde in 2000. Over the past few years he has become involved in the Toronto free-improv music scene playing bass and violin.

Matt Miller

Matt Miller is a multi-disciplinary musician, composer, sound designer, producer and engineer. He has had a consistent presence in Toronto's improvising music scene since 2007, employing his laptop as a musical instrument, live remix tool, as well as a mobile recording workstation to capture live performances.

Ted Phillips

At age four or so he discovered the sustain pedal and the bass register of his grandmother's piano! Minutes later found his uncle's old tube driven shortwave radio.

WOW-- heterodyning, amplitude and frequency modulation, it was all there. As well as strange languages.

Studied industrial design and got sidetracked into audio after that. Did a radio show for 12 years on Ciut Fm, featuring electroacoustic and "computer music".

Found out about Max from George Lewis post-IRCAM before it was released. Never met a phase vocoder or convolver he didn't like or want to modify. Worked for 23 years at a big feature film laboratory.

Bob Vespaziani

Bob Vespaziani is a freelance drummer/percussionist working out of Toronto Ontario, and is very active in both the Blues and Improvisational music scenes in Canada. Latest projects include: Snake Oil Johnson Deltadelic Blues/Roots band lead by BV. Toki Oto a "Tribal/World Beat" duo co-lead with Didgeridoo player Satoshi Ridd Saito. Other projects include an improvisational Guitar & Percussion duo with Arthur Bull, and a Blues duo with Juno Award winner Julian Fauth. 2011 saw the release of BV's first solo CD "The Concussionist" on his own SMS Stage Mom's Suck!!! label.
