This summer, September Collective opens a curated space in the heart of Dundas West where you can discover handcrafted modern objects from African and diaspora artisans, participate in cultural activations, and connect with a community that believes your home should tell a story.

For four days (July 23-26), explore heritage-inspired modern African home decor and art. From hand-blown recycled glass vases crafted in Nairobi to sustainably sourced wooden sculptures from Accra (created from reclaimed plantation waste through a partnership with Ghana's Forestry Commission) and hand-woven basketry from Bolgatanga. Every piece is attributed to its maker, celebrating the artistry, heritage, and craftsmanship behind each object.

Participate in activations designed to be felt, not just seen: blend and pour your own candle in a hand-blown Moroccan glass vessel with Villa Aburi (July 24, 6:00-7:30 PM, $125, limited to 10 spots). A floral design experience is also planned for Sunday with details coming soon. The residency sits steps from OssFest, acclaimed restaurants like Patois and The Lunch Lady, Trinity Bellwoods Park, and Ode Hotel, Toronto's only Black-owned boutique hotel. Come for the objects.
