As a teenager, Andrés discovered his passion for cooking while working in his uncle’s restaurant in Bogotá. His natural talent quickly set him apart, earning him a spot as one of just 50 selected contestants on MasterChef Colombia, out of over 36,000 applicants.
But that was only the beginning.
Chef Andrés brings storytelling to each dish served from Abrielle’s kitchen from private dining experiences to intimate monthly Blind Tasting Menus.
This summer, for the first time in years, Chef Andrés won’t be returning home to Bogotá. Instead, on Tuesday, August 12th, he’ll be honouring his roots by hosting a second night of Abrielle’s special edition Blind Tasting Menu. While rooted in the rustic traditions and soulful ingredients of Bogotá, the menu will follow the same spirit and structure as his signature Mediterranean tasting menus that occur on the first Monday of every month.
Through this 7-course tasting experience, each dish will tell a story, drawing from childhood memories, family staples, and the culinary heritage that shaped him. This intimate dining experience invites guests to explore the heart of his cuisine, where food and storytelling come together at the table.
