A night of music and visual arts showcased by Idris Lawal.

Idris Lawal is a 26 year old Nigerian-born, Toronto-based artist. Through music and its combination with written and design, he creates unique experiences centred around storytelling. "A Travelling Light" will be Idris' first solo showcase since moving to Toronto from Ottawa. The night will include a live screening of the music video for Jordan (new single being released Feb 7) followed by a live performance. The walls will be lined with visual arts & poetry for your viewing pleasure.

Jordan was written and recorded as a re-affirmation of self. A reminder that we fly around the sun every year because of our innate greatness. Jordan was also written as a proclamation of black. A reminder that the skin is a gift from God, for the soul to live comfortably in.
