Doors open at 7:00pm, screenings start @ 7:30pm and will be followed by a filmmaker Q&A.

Tickets are $12 for one night or $20 for two nights.

Breakthroughs is the only festival in Canada devoted exclusively to short films by emerging female directors.

This year's festival will feature 19 outstanding short films from 9 different countries spanning across 5 continents. Among them are 4 Toronto-based filmmakers, plus award-winning shorts from locations as diverse as Iceland and Japan.

For the past 7 years, BREAKTHROUGHS FILM FESTIVAL has been working towards its vision of an industry that recognizes and effectively represents women filmmakers.
