Keep an eye out for 47SOUL! One of the most promising rising stars from the Middle East have electrified audiences across the globe with their unique beats. The quartet have gained a cult following from gigs around the world, including at the likes of Glastonbury and WOMAD in the UK. The band will be performing in Toronto on January 11th (in partnership with Jokermail Productions and Toronto Palestine Film Festival)

47SOUL have become renowned for inventing their own genre Shamstep - which is a powerful mix of traditional street music combined with deep electronic beats and influences from funk, hip-hop and rock. On top of melodies that have been echoing through the Arab World for centuries, 47SOUL adds analogue synthesizers, hypnotic guitar lines, and stirring verses in both Arabic and English.
