Shadowland Theatre’s annual not-to-be-missed evening of spectacle celebrates the power of community to fight for a bright future and bring light from dark.

This year Shadowland’s show titled Fight or Flight, Mother Earth is under threat from Big Plans by Big Business. Can She protect our waters, parks, wildlife and homes? Who will prevail?

On July 31 at 8:30pm as dusk falls, see the story unfold in an outdoor theatrical extravaganza. Join the lantern-lit parade featuring puppets, stilt-walkers and live music through Ward's Island to a beach finale.

Shadowland Theatre excited to welcome you to one of Toronto's favourite annual summer performances! Bring friends and family (and lanterns). All ages are welcome.

Workshops and activities: July 26 to 31

Leading up to the performance, Shadowland Theatre holds a free community arts residency week and performance on the beautiful Ward’s Island, situated in the Toronto Island Park.
