2014 GTA LIVERight Gala

Halloween is usually the time of year when people are putting on masks. In order to draw public awareness to a growing health crisis, the Canadian Liver Foundation (CLF) will instead be “Unmasking Liver Disease” at its annual GTA LIVERight Gala on Thursday, October 30, 2014 (6:30pm - Reception / 7:30pm - Dinner).

Each year the LIVERight Gala features fabulous entertainment (this year - singer/songwriter Julie Crochetiere), delicious food, informative guest speakers, exciting live and silent auctions and more! Proceeds from this event - the CLF's largest in the GTA - go toward vital liver research and education.

Liver disease is this country’s 4th leading cause of death – effecting 1 in 10 individuals (almost 4 million Canadians). Despite these staggering figures, work still needs to be done in terms of educating the broader public about the need for research into the ways we can prevent, diagnose, treat and ultimately cure the over 100 known forms of liver disease.
