2014 Grate Canadian Cheese Cook-Off
Fans of mac & cheese, Canada’s favourite comfort food, will want to circle Wednesday, August 27, 2014 on their calendars for the 2014 Grate Canadian Cheese Cook-Off, sponsored by Dairy Farmers of Canada at this year’s Canadian National Exhibition (CNE).
Watch as four of Canada’s top foodies battle to outdo each other by creating the ‘gratest’ mac & cheese. The four competing foodies are:
Bal Anderson, a Food Network TV host and award-winning author from Vancouver;
David Bohati, Executive Chef at MARKET restaurant in Calgary;
Kevin Durkee, Founder & The Big Cheese of CHEESEWERKS in Toronto; and
Andrew Farrell, Executive Chef at 2 Doors Down in Halifax.
The Cook-Off takes place at the Canadian Cheese Counter in the Home Pavilion, Exhibition Place, 210 Princes’ Boulevard, Toronto. Free with admission to the EX. Doors open at 10 a.m. Competition starts at 11 a.m. For recipes, videos and more, visit www.allyouneedischeese.ca.
