11th Annual Toronto Santa Speedo Run

On Saturday, December 9, the 11th Annual Toronto Santa Speedo Run will take place through the Bloor-Yorkville neighborhood in support of The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids).

This annual 3-kilometre jog is done by brave participants willing to prove you don’t need much on the outside to show you are filled with holiday spirit and generosity on the inside.

Since 2005, runners have braved Canadian winter weather conditions wearing nothing but red and white bathing suits to raise money for the Toys and Games Fund at SickKids.

This fund is used primarily for the purposes of recreation and therapeutic play, including materials and supplies such as toys, playroom supplies, art supplies, games and play equipment. To date, the run has raised over $320,000 for the hospital.

This year, SickKids will be introducing something extra sweet. The SickKids Milk & Cookies truck will be present to provide extra encouragement for the cheeky Santas completing the run.

For a suggested $10 donation, customers will receive a box of milk and a gourmet cookie from Le Gourmand. Donations will help SickKids bring the magic of the holiday season to the hospital, so patients miss home a little less.

During the holiday season, the SickKids Milk & Cookies food truck will visit a host of Toronto events and neighbourhoods, powered by RL Solutions.
