drake spotted ontario restaurant

Drake just dined at an old-school Ontario steakhouse near Toronto

Drake sure has been making a splash in and around Toronto lately — and I'm not just talking about the massive volume of water produced by his now-infamous ice block stunt.

From "freezing" courtside seats at a Raptors game to planting a multi-tonne ice block installation in downtown Toronto, it's clear that Drake's attention is resting squarely on the Six (and its surrounding area) right now.

But the Degrassi star-turned-global rap icon isn't only eyeing the GTA to promote his upcoming album: he's also visiting some of his old favourite restaurants, too.

On Monday, April 27, Mississauga's La Castile Steakhouse shared a photo of Drake with the caption, "It is always such a pleasure having this music ICON at La Castile."

This isn't the rapper's first time at the restaurant. Back in 2025, La Castile also shared a photo of Drake posing in the dining room, reiterating how much of a "pleasure" it was to host him.

Open since 1971, La Castile is one of Mississauga's most iconic steakhouses, specializing in classic, old-school staples like T-bone steak and Surf & Turf, or "Land and Sea," as it's referred to on the restaurant's menu. Oh, you fancy, huh?

With the rapper's ninth studio album set to drop on May 15, and his antics seemingly centred around the GTA, the area's residents and restaurateurs will have to keep an eye peeled for any further restaurant appearances — or publicity stunts — in the coming weeks.

La Castile is located at 2179 Dundas St. E., Mississauga.
