Popular US ramen bar opening in Toronto

If today's cold weather has you craving a piping hot bowl of soup, you'll be happy to note that Toronto is poised to get a brand new ramen joint, one that's already popular south of the border.

The Los Angeles-based Jinya Ramen Bar is slated to open its first Toronto location at the corner of Church and Carlton, right where the old Daybreak Diner used to be.

Jinya, which already has outposts in Vancouver, specializes in Tonkotsu (pork broth) ramen, but also has options suitable for vegetarians.

The incoming ramen bar will be just a few blocks away from the new Kinton Ramen and Raijin Ramen at Yonge and Gerrard.
