The Charlotte Room reopening as the Roxy Bar
The Charlotte Room pool hall at 19 Charlotte Street, near King and Spadina, closed suddenly in May. At the time, it seemed as if hope was lost for the 17-year-old establishment. However it'll soon reopen as the Roxy Bar.
Come tomorrow, August 6, at 4 p.m. the Roxy Bar will open its doors again. Staff have updated the interior and have also refreshed the billiard tables. If pool isn't for you, the bar will feature other activities such as darts and pinball. And, it'll include an expanded menu, meaning you can snack between games.
The Roxy Room plans to host a grand opening event later this month.
