Oliver and Bonacini restaurants

A first look at TIFF's new hotspot

With the TIFF Bell Lightbox set to open on September 12, Oliver & Bonacini's upscale offering, Luma, is just about ready to join O & B Canteen at the northwest corner of King and John streets. Under the direction of Executive Chef Jason Bangerter (formerly of Auberge du Pommier), the restaurant (and 100-seat lounge) will cater to a more established crowd than its sister establishment below, meaning it's likely to become one of the places to be seen during the fast approaching film festival.

Read my first impressions of Luma in the restaurants section.
