Yonge & College is a mostly charmless area of the city surrounded by office buildings, condos and restaurants. Maple Leaf Gardens lurks nearby as does the newly revamped Carlton Cinema. Closer to University is the MaRS building, a hub for biotech firms and other start-ups. One of the city's most popular event spaces, The Carlu, can be found on the south-west corner of Yonge and College.
