Urban Dog

The UrbanDog doggy daycare and spa fits in perfectly with the industrial chiq aesthetic that can be found in the adjacent Distillery District. Professional grooming packages start at $35 with a report card for your pooch, or you can DIY starting at $20. UrbanDog boasts a "playcare" philosophy put to practice in their 7,500 square foot facility. Add to that a loyalty program for dog food (the Diner's Club), and the urban dogs that hit UrbanDog have it made in the shade.

Having Rico (my 4 year old Doberman) play and play and play all day with his buddies is heaven on earth for him(and me!). Susan and Eric are the very knowledgeable and hands-on owners. Their staff are absolutely incredible. Friendly dog-lovers that also enjoy what they do.
The fees for an all-day play care are extremely reasonable.(all day is actually all day.:.Mon to Fri is from as early as 7 a.m. to pick up as late as 8p.m.The facilities are huge for the big dogs and the smaller dogs have their own seperate area too. Toy forts and play areas and balls galore teamed up with a closed circuit web cam so you can watch your friend from anywhere in the world makes this place #1! bar none.
Their food and treat and clothing and beds are stocked in the front area. Their grooming is professional and ergonomic for both your pet and the groomer. Oh,and one last benefit: Sleepovers! for your pet, not you. They also are affiliated with a terrific obedience/training on site evening school.
take a look at this place and you won't go elsewhere.

I took my puppy there once a few months back. They are pricey, Yes, but their service was amazing. Very friendly, very clean and they groomed him exactly as I asked. I thought they were too expensive so I tried another groomer the other day, after being sourly disappointed, I am willing to pay their price if it means they can get the job right.

Rico is now almost 5 and a half years old and it only gets better at Urban Dog! The staff are very attentive to needs of each pet and any owner's concerns.Facilities are clean and very professionl. Lots of great items on sale(many well below the competitors). The owners Eric and Susan continue to instill an attitude that reflects love and genuine caring.

I live on the west-end of Toronto and have found no other daycare/playcare who is as knowledgeable and friendly as the staff here. I have two pulik and love that Urbandog is so welcoming of this rare breed.
Although the price may be higher than other places, the level of service and care far exceeds other places.

I use their self serve grooming option at a very reasonable price.I highly recommend this place to any dog owner.

Just to add, I live on the westend of Toronto and the drive to Lower Parliament and Lakeshore is well worth the drive knowing our dogs are in good hands.

We stumbled on this Gem totally by accident while looking for a non-petsmart supplier of food. At first, I was a little nervous: more so than leaving my children in daycare! After meeting the staff and seeing what a fuss they made over Luna I was sold. I never thought I would use the webcam, but especially in the first few days, being able to quickly check and see that she was happy made me so reassured. Can not say enough at how pleased we are with Urban Dog.

Your dog is gonna be exhausted by the end of the day.
Beware that your dog is going to be mixed with a lot of dogs that you don't know where they are coming from and what parasites or bacteria they have. Although the staff tries to clean after the dogs, the place still gets dirty and smells strongly like pee.

I have a 4 years old Bulldog, so I called this place one day before to make a appointment for my dog, i asked them if they deal with Bulldogs and they told me yes and that i didnht have to worry about anything!! So i told him that my bully does not like normal showers and for them to be extra carefull with him!!
I even suggeted for me to stay with my bulldog since he listens to me and he told me ´´ DONT WORRY, WE DEAL WITH BULLDOGS ALL THE TIME, WE KNOW HOW TO HANDLE HIM`` ...so I took Oliver there, when i dropped him off i went over the same things with them , told them to be extra carefull, and he dosnt like this or that...She looked at me, smiled and said dont worry we know how to deal with them....20 minutes later i get a call from them to come get my dog because he snapped and was in the wrong environment....Who does that????
so i went there, when i see Oli he was ok fine and calm but WET!!! they gave me my dog back WET didnt even offer a towel to dry him, gave me the dirtiest look ever and charged me 50,00 for a LIE AND A SHITTY SERVICE!! if you dont know how to handle a Bulldog why would you tell me you do? why would you make me go there for nothing??
I do not recommend this place!!! if you trully love your animal you will find a better place for them to go!!!

For the caring owners of a pet and especially if they have children, keep you pet safe as well as clean and groomed by your groomer.

Staff are welcoming, friendly and really look after your dog. The care is great and they report any small changes that they see. Most importantly, our dog is happy to go there!

My dog loves this place! All I have to say is "Let's go to daycare" and she's at the door, waiting to get her collar on. I bring my dog to UrbanDog several times a month, and because of my work, I arrange for her to stay overnight several times a year. Before I brought my dog here, she was shy and nervous, but the great folks at UrbanDog have helped her become a playful, happy dog. I've been told that she's a popular playmate for the other pups there and does nothing but play all day!
I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family!
