Zyng Asian Grill

Zyng TorontoZyng has been on Yonge St. south of Bloor for what seems like ages. In recent years, this place has received little fan fare but on a cold winter's day it's still a good bet for an instant warm-me-up care of one of their many noodle soups.

I went to the Yonge Street location this evening for dinner. I ordered the pad thai, and was presented with the grossest, most vile noodle dish I have ever tasted. It was dark down, and consisted of orange flavouring mixed with some noodles and bean sprouts. I sent it back after one taste. I was not asked if I would like anything else from the menu, nor was I presented with a menu.

When the bill came to the table they had the balls to charge me for it! When I told the manager that I was not paying for the food (which I did not eat) he began to yell at me and say that it was my order and that I had to pay. He said that he made it especially for me, which was the biggest load of crap EVER...I could see the large vats of sauce and noodles in the kitchen area, obviously they were used to bulk preparation...and to boot, my friend's pho was pitiful, it had green onions and large, uncooked chunks of onion in it.

I will never eat there again...by choice, and also because the manager told me to never come back. If I could give it 0 out of 5 I would...1 is the lowest option to choose from.
