Trimurti, On Queen west of John has an extensive menu of moderately priced Indian specialties. They also offer a lunch buffet seven days a week.

My experience at this "restaurant" had been one of the worst. The most disappointing aspect of our experience was the actual food served. The vegetable curry ordered was composed of corn niblets, carrots and peas. The variety found in the grocery's frozen food aisle. The sauce lacked flavour and resembled watered down curry mix. The service was solely mediocre and the atmosphere highly uninspiring. Save your money, find another venue to enjoy quality Indian cuisine at.

Three of something is usually considered a good thing, which I thought also applied to the trio of Indian restaurants that line this busy section of Queen West. Mistake.

All the outward appearances would suggest a regular, run of the mill Indian establishment with the usual Indian furnishings and a Bollywood instrumental quietly playing in the background.

But it was the service that really showed that I'd chosen unwisey to dine here: my food and drink were brought wordlessly to the table by a waiter who clearly wanted to be somewhere else. Plus the curry that I ordered - the local variant of chicken tikka masala - was spicy when it should have been mild.

My exprience was topped off with having to actually stand behind the bar to pay by credit card rather than just stand at the bar and have the waiter pass the machine to me.

You have to remember that this IS a busy stretch of Queen West and so Trimurti survives on passing trade. Somehow.

Hey everyone

We had Trimurti delivered to our home recently (November 2010) on the recommendation of a friend.. and we were very pleased with the food. We usually order the 'typical' stuff.

One of the best Saag Paneer I've ever had, and the Butter Chicken had a very nice depth in the curry that I've never tasted in most others. The samosas are huge although I'm not a big fan of them to begin with. The rice we got on the side was also great with a combo of a couple different styles.

Possibly a bit more expensive than some but we were not disappointed with the food whatsoever.

Beware of the older reviews at the top of this article. I don't know if they've changed in 2 years or if those guys just had one time bad experiences, but I was to trimurti recently and it was fantastic, and so was the service. many of my friends who i mentioned it to agreed and shared similar good experiences.

Ordered delivery from here last night. The butter chicken was unreal. Best I've ever had. It had a bit of this smokey flavour. Both myself and my bf couldn't get enough. The veggie biryani was good, too, but all of the veggies were sorta packed at the bottom. The chicken vindaloo was pretty good.

WORST service i have experienced, the waiters and miserable and clearly dont want to be there. I started getting takeout at the buffet. i stopped when one of the servers told me i was only allowed 2 meats. its a BUFFET and im paying the same price as if i were to sit there and eat. so stupid. theyre always smoking in the front as well.
