Went here for oyster night and I flipped out over the excellent selection, service, wine and quality. Didn't sample the rest of the menu but oh boy they sure had a good stock of NB oysters that night! Love the place.

Beautiful location and nice restaurant itself.
The service was great. The menu was good and the food (presentation and taste) were perfect.
I would go again!

Went here on Sunday night of long weekend. Unfortunately they had some strange rule made up by the manager. You could wait in a line by the door for a half hour. No. You couldn't wait by the bar or leave your name on a waiting list. I had mentioned to the manager that one of the most popular restaurants downtown took your cellphone number and would call you when a table was ready. The manager said that in her 30 years experience this didn't work. So we packed up and went to pizza libretto where they use this system and had an enjoyable night instead of waiting in a lineup. Tappo needs a new manager!

Arrived for 8:30pm reservations and were seated on the patio while waiting for our table inside, which we were told would be about 20 miuntes. We were offered drinks, but told that we couldn't order food unless we were staying outside and that if we wanted to eat inside we would have to wait until we were seated there. After another 20 minutes, we were told that we could order for inside if we wanted, but that it would be another 20 minutes for our table. Bread arrived, so tasteless and stale that we joked it must be from Sobey's. Not five minutes later, we saw the manager coming in the front door with - you guessed it - a Sobey's bag full of their bread. Next, a couple sat at the next table and began smoking, which I'm very allergic to, so I went back to the front and inquired about our table. At 9:15pm, 45 minutes after our reservation, I was told that our table was not ready and that they could do nothing about the smoking. I stood in the doorway with my friend as they left our appetizers on the patio table. We finally got a table at 9:30pm and it took another half hour to receive our mains, which were mediocre. Trying to salvage the evening, we asked for the manager for the check, then waited 20 minutes before our server came back to offer free desserts. Insisting on 'just the bill', we asked to speak with the manager. When he came over, he said, 'I offered free desserts - what more am I supposed to do?' When I tried to speak, he said 'Fine - you don't want to pay? What does your $40 mean to me anyway?'

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had - I will never return.
