This place is great, and they definitely serve the best shawarma and falafel within walking distance. They use fresh ingredients and take the time to put things together with with care. The falafels are fried up on order rather than left sitting in a warming pan like many other places, and they are nicely spiced and not too overwhelmingly garlicky.

I also like how they press the shawarma sandwiches in a sort of panini-type press to heat them up before serving. The plate dinners are good, too. Surprisingly, they also serve samosas (!?) for about $1 each, which make satisfying snacks in a pinch but they are not exactly authentic: it almost seems like they use Chinese wonton wrappers. Interesting idea for a shawarma joint but not entirely successful.

I had a shawerma sandwich at Shawerma House today, and we all loved it. It tasted amazing and after we left we were all talking about wanting to go there again. Looking forward to trying something different the next time I visit, which is hopefully really soon!
