Communal style tables and a large window view into the bustling kitchen make Saigon Palace a casual and fun spot to grab a hot bowl of Pho and some crispy spring rolls. They're also easily one of the cleanest Vietnamese restaurants in the city.

I went here to eat and the meat was stained with a blue color, and the soup was loaded with msg!

this place should definitely NOT be on the "best pho" list!

Without a doubt, the best Vietnamese restaurant in Toronto, and indeed one of the best anywhere outside of Vietnam. The Beef Pho is sublime. The person above who has compaints certainly does not represent 99.9% of the highly loyal customers who go there. Perhaps they need to simply give Vietnamese food a miss, since Vietnamese food always contains MSG (a natural ingredient that most people are fine with). I've been eating here and taking others here for over 20 years now, and not a single one of my friends has ever made a complaint. Most still go there often also.

MSG is from sugar cane. What's wrong with that?
You eat sugar everyday it has msg in it.

Cancer is not from MSG - but it came from those
HYDROPHONIC foods that ignorant people eat.

99% of asians use MSG and we rarely get cancer.
Because we eat organic foods harvested from the
soil, with all the real proteins and stuffs the way
mother nature want it to be.

Asians have the lowest case of ALZHEIMERS,
because MSG stimulates our brains - again the way mother
nature intends it to be.

Stop listening to AMERICAN BULLSHITS - people
who spread lies like this are from the FDA.

FDA = Protecting the PHARMACEUTICAL CO's.

MSG is just the sodium salt of an amino acid- the acid form of it is found in many proteins in your body. MSG poses to threat to your health whatsoever, unless you're allergic to it.

They've been closed for weeks for "renovations". I wonder what will become of them?
