The Rushton

The Rushton is a cozy, neighborhood-oriented, French inspired bistro. Menus change seasonally. If weather permits, grab a table on the side patio. And don't forget to try the poutine!

The poutine and other food might be good - and it is. But the staff is not, especially on a Saturday night. Indeed, even with a reservation, during the non-patio friendly months on a Saturday night you should expect to have someone's ass in your face while you eat. They really pack them in. God forbid there should be a fire in there.
It's great, in theory, that there is another tasty restaurant in the area. Unfortunately, we had such a bad experience there back in December, that none of us are willing to go back again.
I wanted to have a nice dinner over xmas with my girlfriend. We made reservations, got there and told us to come back in 30 mins so we went to Ferro across the street. Ferro is such a nice restaurant i wish we could have had dinner there. so we got back to the rushton after 20 mins and they told us they almost gave our seats up..thanks...
they sat us right next to the kitchen / bar and had ever waiter pass by us. not to mention the asses of ppl drinking at the bar. there was also a wedding party for 40 ppl and i couldn’t even hear my girlfriend speak. the food was ok. she had a veggie burg with a few things added and it was $25! nice eh? i will never go back. not even for their drinks.
Delish.
