Popped into Paupers (HAH!) this morning for the first time. Great place, friendly staff, and i think ive found the hidden gem for Breakfast on Bloor. Massive portions and very reasonable price. Will return!
I've found Pauper's service to be hit and miss...I was at the rooftop patio a couple of weeks ago and we waited 15 minute and no one came to speak to us. When we got up to leave, a server came over and said curtly "I'm really busy"...they did not apologize for the delay. We spoke to the manager and he didn't seem to care either...not sure if I'll be going back there!
Had a terrible experience with the service here. Slow, unfriendly, mixed up our orders... bad all around. Definitely doesn't deserve to be on the Best of Toronto list -- there are way better pubs in the same area.
