Remember to tip good or avoid sounding like a mangiacake to get passable service.
I bought a whole chicken ($10) and a small piece of fried fish which was almost $4 when weighed. I told the woman serving me that I didn't want it because I didn't expect it to be that expensive. She looked at the scale and then pressed the buttons and said it was set to kgs instead of lbs. It was under $2 with the adjustment.
I don't believe this was deliberate and the woman was nice enough. However, it does show a level of carelessness.
The neighbouring competitors (both east and west of Paul S) are way more on their game and probably worth the couple of minutes extra walk.
