Mikasa Japanese Restaurant
Mikasa is a long-standing Japanese restaurant located in a small plaza on the corner of Pharmacy and McNicoll Avenue. Its location within the complex is so awkward that if you blink, you may just miss it. The place is rather small, but the service is very friendly. Many locals who visit it comment that while the place is nothing fancy, the fact that the staff really seems to put care into the creation and serving of the food makes all the difference. Make sure you check out their daily specials (that may rotate), such as a dozen California rolls for under $6. Ideal place if you're in the mood for an unpretentious, low-key, but solid dining experience.
