Le Papillon
Serving French and Quebecois fare (onion soup and crepes are particularly noteworthy), Le Papillon is popular with fresh-off-the-VIA-train tourists, the business crowd, and local concert- and theatre-goers.

We wanted to have a long talk and have a few more drinks but the waiter kept pestering us for the dessert. The main course turned us off. Luckily we found a pub next door and kicked ourselves not going there for dinner. Their menu was cheaper and the table next to us had some nice, properly cooked meals.
Papillon, you failed us. Luckily we didn't bring our wives and girlfriends there. There won't be a 'next time' visit there. You had your chance. There are plenty of other restaurants in this city that know how to cook and have better service too.
