Le Cafe Vert

Go to Le Cafe Vert for the cozy window seat overlooking Queen, but stay for the tasty veggie eats and weekend brunch. The gluten and dairy free pankcakes are some of Toronto's best.

I came here for brunch and ordered a coffee. After my brunch I ordered another coffee. So far so good, right? I asked for my bill and went over the the cashier to pay, and my waitress says this to me "Oh, by the way, I made your second coffee decaf and that's why you don't have the jitters right now." ... WTF? This waitress decided to do me a favor and serve me up some decaf instead of a what I ordered? Not only am I not actually paying for what I ordered, but... what the hell? Seriously. If I was Larry David, this would have been the start of an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
At times it was hard to decide if she was a better baker or cook...
If it wasn't for her the place would not have become this famous.
Seriously how do you make healthy and nutritous food taste like it's bad for you?
Only a Southern woman born and raised could do that!
