Laksa

Posted by Staff / Reviewed on October 17, 2008

LaksaLaksa is a new, modern-looking restaurant in Chinatown. The menu is mostly Thai, but there is also a second, smaller menu with a range of Malaysian dishes.

I tried this place the week it opened up. With a name like "Laksa", you'd think they'd be able to get their titular dish right, but you'd be very wrong. The flavour was bland and uninspiring. Proper Malaysian Laksa should be anything BUT bland. Proper Laksa should be an assault on all five senses. It will put hair on your chest, singe off the hairs on your nostrils and eyebrows and leave you whimpering and curled up in a ball under the table, crying for your mother.
