Toronto's classic patio. Love it and the casual atmosphere.

I have been there twice for lunch and have decided never to go back. It took about an hour and a half each time and all we ordered were salads. The first time around we got a larva with the salad and the second time (yes, we decided to give it another chance) there was way to much garlic making the salad pretty much inedible.

Great food and location but terrible, terrible service. The staff were more interested in talking to their friends and each other and ignored us. Totally uninterested in the customers.

If you go in the winter, you'll find it extremely cold. The windows are single pane and if you're anywhere near the door there's a massive draft. I'd planned to meet friends there for dinner and got there early. After 30 minutes my cutlery felt like it was in the fridge. So we had to leave and eat somewhere else. Luckily there are many options nearby.

If you go in the summer and just want a pizza and beer on the patio, it's nice. There are trees on the street and the sunlight in the evening can be beautiful.

Various observations: The bathrooms are grungy. The pasta is excessively salty. There is not a good selection of light/vegetarian menu items. Service can be inattentive. Value and quality is average. I love the old hand-painted lettering on the windows. Biggest upside: The patio in summer. Biggest downside: Cold temperatures in winter.

Recommended alternates: Pizza Liberetto, Pizza Rustica, Terroni's.
