Went to Izba recently and was very disappointed. The food was terrible. The placed was dirty and smelled like burnt oil. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I can't beleive this place is still open. Avoid it.

Sadly, I agree with Karen. Being Polish I had hoped this would be great, but was really disappointed.

Izba used to be great but the old owner died and it's since changed hands a couple of times. It's never been the same since.

Sorry, I went here a few months ago, and had literally one of the worst restaurant experiences in my life in this city... I was the ONLY person there and it took them 10 minutes to get me a menu, another 5 for a beer in a bottle, and then my 'Special' which was the "fish'n'chips", was reheated breaded frozen sole filet, and microwaved day old potatoes, absolutely awful food... and they PUSHED me to try this and dissuaded me from the schnitzel, which is what I went for... Please remove from 'Best Schnitzel' list, now, please!

Went here a while ago upon the recommendation of a friend.

In light of just how terrible the food was...I'm reconsidering my friendship with him....it really was that bad.

Was hoping for Country Style style schnitzel....got something that looked different....and tasted disgusting.

Will never go back.

One of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. Low quality food, dirty dining area and the woman who was serving us had the worst attitude ever.

My whole experience at Izba left a sour taste in my mouth.

Haven't been there for a while until May 29! Schnitzels was ok but the rice, potatoes &
Sauce sucks! Nit worth the price. 3 Schnitzel dinner cost $50+! Ugh!

Nice place, good ambiance, had a very enjoyable lunch. My favorite: fillet of sole in lemon butter & Apple Cobbler which was just awesome.

Went last week. Goulash soup, Souvlaki, salmon was perfect for the weather. We ordered so much food and it was all delicious. A little pricey but worth every penny.

Been going here since I was a kid. The place is as fabulous as it was back then. The food is unmatched, the staff is very cool, patient and courteous. The owners have been very nice. This place could be the restaurant version of the Grand Budapest Hotel, there are others that are old too but this one stands out.

I enjoyed my recent visit to Izba. The fillet of sole was very tasty, the dessert, apple cobbler, was average, the Greek salad was admirable though. Service was above average. Was a regular here few years back and it feels the same as it was before. Great value for your money spent.

The potato pancake, pierogies, fish & rice, dessert of the day was on my table. The food was nice and mouth watering, the service was okay, atmosphere was top notch, a little costly deal I'd say. I'd give it 3.5 stars, but a half star more for the fabulous decoration.

This is a great place. An amalgamation of great food, service, ambiance, and genuine effort to nourish patrons. The fillet of sole is to die for. A happy visitor I am.

IZBA is the benchmark for any small home/family restaurants. Desserts are delicious, food is tasty, chicken, fish are awesome. Average service, fantastic ambiance. I order the Schnitzel-Pierogi platter everytime I go here.

Fantastic food, nice service, good atmosphere. For the cost of 2, 3 could eat, so that's a good deal I guess.

I ate this afternoon at this restaurant. Though it was a quiet afternoon, the wait was too long. The food raised our spirits due to its terrific taste. The chicken was not very spicy, but just about the right flavor. The rice and dessert were great too. 80% approval from me.

Their chicken is amazing, I just have no words to describe it, it's freaking good. The European thing seems nice but it's not my type though. They seriously need to improve their service, the guys look like they could go on a mission of GTA anytime lol
