Hoops Sports Bar
Hoops Sports Bar has four locations in the Toronto area. They have more than enough screens to watch the big game and simply don't have a bad place to view the action. Hell, they even has TVs in the floor to make sure you don't miss a shot while walking to the bathroom or cleaning the puke off your shoe. Unfortunately, that's about all it has going for it as its food is beyond atrocious and its beer overpriced.

Give it a try for yourself. Particularly their wings are actually pretty awesome. I'm a frequent attender of their cheap wings nights on Tuesdays and Thursdays ($4.99 for a pound of wings with fries and veggies and ranch dip) pretty great I must say. I think the writer of this review would like sports bars to be gourmet french restaurants, in reality most of the time people just want beer and wings or a burger. I tried the "suicide" wings at Real Sports Bar down the street and found them more sweet than spicy (not good!).
Anyway like I said, give this place a try. My only complaint would be how long the food takes to come out of the kitchen. I also would avoid ordering the pasta dishes but come on Blog TO get off your high horse!

Gotta say your food is great overall and love the suicide wings. If I can make it in tomorrow I will! Would be happy with 2 lbs!
The fact that someone from management has already answered to my post shows that they obviously care.
Some other good options for you guys and gals out there who want some good food: The Hoops Burgers, Buffalo chicken wraps (one of my faves), nachos. Oh and the servers are really nice and they have pool tables at the back of the restaurant.
Plus they have a good selection of beer and drinks that really isn't crazy priced. We're in downtown Toronto people, beer won't be the same price as your small university town.
People are going to think that I'm a promoter or something but I'm just a frequent customer that really thought it was crazy unfair of BlogTO to say such terrible things about Hoops and who also loves the fact that I have a sports bar in my condo!
Thanks for taking the time to read my review Duff. I wonder if the writer of the article is reading any of this. Hopefully other people will chime in. I know there are a lot of people in my condo who like the place and would defend it too.
I am generally pretty picky about pub food, but I was actually quite impressed with my meal at Hoops (Yonge & College location). I had a really tasty grilled veggie sandwich, with a greek salad (nice mixed greens - not iceberg lettuce, not overloaded with dressing). It was delicious! Granted, this was only my first visit to Hoops, but I will definitely go back.
