Gaucho's BBQ

Rating: 2.4/5 (9 votes)

Gaucho's BBQGaucho's has a varied menu with hefty portions of Brazilian dishes on offer with the Portuguese classics mixed in almost as an afterthought. Plates are beautifully presented, and the chicken is moist and succulent. My companion, a recently reformed veggie, wanted to know if it was possible to request an extra order of just the skin. The rice is dense with southern flavour and the creamy golden homemade hot sauce is a 4-alarm emergency. Quarter chicken combo, $6.

Just ate some take-out from this place. What a disappointment! Chicken was so dry I could hardly swallow some pieces. I ordered the family combo, and the guy chose a chicken that looked like it had sunstroke!(I guess I should have told him to pick another one, but is that my responsibility?) This place is not in the same league as Costa Verda. In fact, they are playing a different sport altogether. I will never be back.

Great food, inexpensive and friendly it's become one of my favourites. The chicken is so delicius. Also the Steak, ribs, sausage are excellent, and I haven't tried the rest,

If you want to eat traditional Brazilian food that tastes FANTASTIC, this is the place! When you go make sure you try the Feijoada or the Picanha steak. I am always in Brazil and have to say the food at Gaucho's tastes just as good if not better than the food from a restaurante in Brazil.

I ate in Gauchos a few months back and LOVED IT!
ended up ordering takeout a couple weeks later.

meals were fairly priced and delicious (steak & sausage, and chicken and ribs combos were both under $15 and good portions). The apps were mediocre aside from the deep fried chicken ball which was amazingly seasoned and very tastey!!!
service was awesome, but I will admit hearing the tv on in spanish throw me off a bit while eating.

ordered takeout of a fully rotiserie cooked chicken, large order of parisian potatoes, and order of brazilian baked beans for $20, and did not disappoint.

I noticed a sign a few weeks ago saying "under new management".... not sure if that will be a good thing or a bad thing but I'll certainly give them another go!
