draft picks torontoDraft Picks is, as its name would suggest, a consummate sports bar, with multiple TVs scattered around the space (and in each booth) on which to watch games. The family-friendly spot clocks in just under 100 seats, and features pub food.

I was there a couple of days ago. The staff were really sweet and the food was top-notch. Thank God! This neighbourhood NEEDS a good burger joint: all the burgers here are made in-house. Can't wait to go back!

Why would I go here? No, sports bars are not my thing but if these people hadn't absolutely ruined the former restaurant, Ristorante Roma -- imagine, a pizza restaurant icon with NO web page for a few years. Had a couple of bad pizzas there but kept going back. Now, after running the restaurant into the ground they open with a "new look." Why should I believe they'll do better with this one?

I will never again order from this place. I was a customer of pizza roma restaurant for about 8 years! Recently they have changed their name to Draft Picks. I placed an order last Thursday for 3 orders of fried calamari. I always order the same thing over and over so I was well accustomed to their portions sizes. Well , tht Thursday I received 3 orders. 1st order contained 8 pieces, 2nd contained 7 and the 3rd contained only 5!!! I called them as soon as I sat down to eat, they told me not to eat them and they'll send out fresh ones with proper portions but it would take another hour on top if the hour I just waited to get my food :( so I told them it was ok. I was so hungry that I had started to eat while talking to them. Knowing I was a good client the woman on the phone asked me to wait an she would speak to the manager. She came bck and told me that I would be credited the 3 orders and to quote that STEVE authorized it ....... That brings me to today ..... I called in and told them I wanted to place an order for delivery and that I had a credit for 3 tied Calamaris and that Steve authorized it..... He says oh yes I remember this is STEVE, soooo 15 mins later I get a call back from an Unidentified worker from DrAft picks, he then told me that I could only get one order free and that Steve the manager was wrong and he got in trouble !!! I was so upset!! I told him it wasn't my fault that he was wrong and that I was entitled to what I was owed... Nope he only sent one ....... Anyways never ordering from them again. Should have stopped so many times before! They don't change their oil very often , sometimes their dipping sauce for the calamari was way to spicy to consume !!

Denise -- I'm not surprised at your experience. I was a Roma customer for many many years. When the business was sold I hoped it could be kept up because it was so convenient and pleasant to go there. The food was predictably good. I had the same experience of delivered food that was REALLY disappointing and once in the restaurant I had the worst pizza I ever ate. I waited so long for it that I ate it. So now, the same owner, new name. Maybe under the new name they will sell a lot of beer but I wont go back unless I hear there have been big changes. They still have pizza but I don't order from there anymore.

TERRIBLE FOOD.... JUST A COUPLE OF DRUNKEN OLD GUYS SITTING AT BAR.....just what we need in Bloor West Village....another old drunk hangout!!!....we had some class to the neighborhood when the violo family owned and ran Roma Ristorante.....too bad!!!!
