Curry & Roti

Posted by Staff / Listed on July 4, 2008 / review policy

Curry & RotiIn business since 1973, Curry & Roti cooks up what might be the healthiest roti in Toronto. They make an organic roti, a whole wheat one and even a Spelt roti for those of us with wheat sensitivities. Combine that with fresh meat and vegetables, spices and recipes from Trinidad & Tobago and Guyana and you've got one seriously good roti.

I just tried this and every thing's good however the roti's too expensive for the portion that they give you

The love that goes into each roti is so evident. The no oil curry and whole grain roti is guilt free eating. In addition, I love building my roti by adding spinach and pumpkin.

Wow! Today I visited for the first time and it is definitely the best roti in every way. Taste, portion size, price and service are exceptional.

Delicious food. I was in on Friday and instead of my usual Chicken Roti, I opted for the Jerk Chicken Special with Rice and Peas, it was so delicious, I am still licking my fingers.

My wife and I just enjoyed the best Beef Pepperpot. We had this with rice and pigeon peas which was a nice change. The coleslaw was a nice add on.Simone told us that they make it fresh everyday as they hand cut the cabbage and carrots; and the dressing is olive oil and she said the spices were secret. We picked up a side to take home.

I was driving on lawrence looking for something different to eat for lunch and I came across this gorgeous sign and a fresh looking roti place to eat. The chicken roti was amazing and to the owner Rozanne was absolutely inceredible.. She was so pleasant. I commented on the look of her restaurant and she mentioned to me that they had just been on restaurant takeover on the food network. The makeover has given the restaurant a great fresh look but the food definately does not need a makeover LOL. I look forward to going back and seeing rozanne and eating some delicious food...
