CommensalCommensal just might be the best vegetarian option near Yonge and Dundas. Located near Bay on Elm Street, the restaurant has a wide variety of meatless options, all priced by weight.

Went there the other day. The food was okay...nothing special. When the weigh your food, the include the weight of the plate! Other places I've been they put an empty scale on the scale to "zero" the scale and then weigh your place. I think I paid $5 just for "dead" weight.

I work at Le Commensal you do not pay for the weight of the plate. Our computer is preconfigured for all the plate we have in the restaurant and depending which dish you use depends which but we push to tare the weight of the dish. You only pay for the weight of the food

I relly like Le Commensal but I REALLY miss their vegetarian tourtiere pie! I use to et it all the time and also buy boxes of it to freeze at home for later use. I wish they would bring it back! Grat caesar salad!
