Coach House Restaurant

Coach HouseCoach House Restaurant is a long-established old-school diner near Yonge and Wellesley. With a dated and unassuming front signage, chances are pretty good that you've walked past this restaurant and never noticed it. This is a shame because the food is classic old-time greasy spoon goodness at its best. From french toast to pork sausages, they do comfort food (particularly breakfast!) right.

I knew Gus, the owner of the Coach House back in the 60s. I have not known a better man since.

A neighborhood gem! A must if you are in the area visiting the city and would liked a home cooked meal for breakfast. The best traditional breakfast hands down. I try and treat myself to a visit at least once a week. A real family affair. Jim, the father, is on the grill, his wife Dina behind the counter, as well as serving tables along with their daughter Eleni. Generous, fresh, home cooked food in a casual relaxed environment. See you there!
