Ciro'sCiro's is a small west end bar that doesn't take themselves too seriously. They they have an intimidating beer list chocked full of Lambics and world class strong ales and proclaim on the menu, "Remember, Bier is to be FUN!!!"

As a regular at Ciros, the staff and food never cease to pleasantly surprise me.

The menu is eclectic, well priced, and the portions are sized to almost guarantee some take home. Excellent butter chicken, a truly wonderful burger (at $5.75!), & delightful pad thai. Along with a breakfast menu that is served until 4pm daily (I highly recommend the Mexican Chipotle with it's made-when-ordered corn bread, a fantastic smokey chipotle cream sauce over the eggs creating what is effectively a take on eggs benny), a staff that really does know what they're talking about when it comes to navigating that beer menu, and a great tree shaded patio wired for sound out back, makes this my favourite place to while away a few hours.

I drop by Ciros for a few drinks with my friends from time to time and the huge selection of beers are pretty impressive. The atmosphere is nice and the servers are extremely helpful. The only gripe I have with it is the sketchy neighborhood it's located in, but don't let that stop you from checking it out.

I live very close to this place, and while I've been once...I don't go TOO often. The beer is fine as is service, but because of their extensive list, they naturally have to charge quite a bit...AND it's only by the glass. No pitchers here whatsoever, so four of you are going to spend A LOT to continue drinking for the night.

I would suggest starting an night here, have a couple, then move on down the street farther to Disgraceland of the like to continue drinking cheap! :)

How can anybody say anything positive about the food here? The food is AWFUL. Wait, even that is an understatement. It's terribly, indescribably bad.

We've had a beer party here a few months ago. The beer list is long, but not everything was available. The place was grungy, with dirty floor and shaky tables. They kept the lights intentionally low - as in dark - but you could still tell the place hasn't been cleaned in a while. A friend who ordered chicken wings got a half plate of tiny shrivelled bones fried to death. There was no meat. She had to return it, and got a soggy burger instead. A salad was a pile of not-so-fresh iceberg lettuce with a few unripe tomato slices and chunks of onion. I'll never go there again.

The beer is overpriced. Way overpriced. We had nachos that were below average. Go to the Rhino instead!

Funny how I wasn't drunk nor buzzed. Went to use the washroom. First stall closest to.the door. Taking a pee and no one what so ever in either mens or womans washroom, hearing noises like someone spinning a roll of butt wipe in a dipenser. But kept constantly hitting it and letting it roll. Don't get me wring

Wrong* I don't get scared and I love scary movies. But hearing that made me hurry and run up them stairs like a fiend. My friend saw visions of someone in the dark kitchen, which; was closed. Yup, the basement is scary as shit with creepy doors. Heard the old owner klled himself there.
