CaffinoCaffino is a long-time Liberty Village lunch and dinner destination that is somewhat hidden inside the Carpet Factory. The menu is decidedly Italian with fresh pizza, pasta and antipasti. White table cloths grace the dining room but the formality if balanced out with the warehouse feel, dripping candle wax and bustling atmosphere.

this restaurant is categorized in the wrong neighbourhood. it's not in little india.

My husband and I instantly fell in love with Caffino. The atmosphere is delightful and the decor so intriguing you feel as though you could be in Italy! The food is reasonably priced and second to none. We loved it so much we actually had our wedding there! We couldn't have been happier anywhere else.

The food and atmosphere were perfect. But somehow this magic was undone by abrupt and unhelpful service. We'd like to give it a second chance but having your food taken and thrown out without asking was disappointing and seemingly at ends with the obvious care they take in making it.

Went there the other day for Valentines Day. Don't see how it got this #10 spot. Food was average at best. The mood was not what I expected. I read comments about it being very dark lit and it was anything but that. Felt like I was at a wedding. The music was pretty much non existent. It mostly consisted of people talking and not music at all. The table next to us actually complained about it so they changed it. The last straw was the coffee. Usually you can tell a good place by their coffee and I must say it was horrible. I've honestly had a better cappuccino in the waiting room of my Vet. It was pretty much brown water with no foam. I hate knocking places but I was very upset with this place.

Wee in response to PDot-well I don't know where you were that night but I was there too and had an amazing night.our food was delicious!we had the antipasto for 2 and it was beautifully presented with lamb spedducci,shrimp and Italian aged dried sausage,pecorino cheese from italia you can taste the difference! Both my partner and I had a feeling like were back in Italy the candles were lite everywhere. The atmosphere romantic because of it. The music was soft romantic soul music a nice change from the typical and yes not the focus, I was more interested in where I was and who I was sharing the great food with. Oh and by the way we had a cap and an espresso, both beautifully topped by coffee foam and milk foam for the cap. I would recommend Caffino to all who understand good food and an atmosphere that is enchanting! The woman waiter that served us professional and curtious no adittude just smiles and efficient I would give Caffino a better spot then where it is at #10! and we go out a lot and were in Italia just this summer! thanks Caffino for making us feel we went back!

I'm surprised at the visitor on valentines day. The rooms were dimly lit by candle light alone. The music soft but romantic. The coffee has gotten many compliments espresso and cappuccinos are best. It was a full house and all that left made comments on how good the food was, and how beautiful it looked.
PDot, Maybe it wasn't Caffino but your mood or your company. What a shame because after 15 years caffino's reviews have been very faverable. Caffino hosts many wedding all year long, simply because it is so beautiful and the food delisious. That evening we also had a couple that were spending their 11th valentines dinner at Caffino and booked for next year once again!
Dot in the wrong spot -you can't please all the people all the time but gratefully Caffino doesn't cater to your type, or it would not have been there for 15 years. Love Caffino keep impressing the right people!

Whom ever your are-I find it very interesting how you seem to think you know who MY-(yes I am the owner) lover is- your comments are unwarranted-wrong person-so who's stupid now! My lover doesn't have to write a comment here and go undercover. And P.S.
The candelite dinners, they are for all who visit and experience Caffino- because that's what Caffino does, offers candelite dinners-
My private ones are all for my lover-no competition!

I have had many wonderful dinners at Caffino. I think the staff ,the owner and the atmosphere are very charming and welcoming. I have had many WONDERFUL dinners with family & friends,who return regularly. So to my surprise Pdot , it does sound like there is a personal gain by dumping on this great little spot by writing a terrible review. Especially when Caffino has great coffee.

Well, the food was generally fine. The wines are grossly overpriced. The service on a very slow Wednesday evening was sadly lacking, in sharp contrast to my previous visit. We were in the main dining room and largely forgotten. Not planning a return soon...

I love entertaining my clients here. This is the perfect spot to celebrate a birthday, or just make someone feel special. The service here is so personal and warm. The menu has an interesting mixture of both classic dishes and fusion inspired new takes on the traditional favorites. I highly recommend this hidden gem!
