Biryani Depot is an Indian restaurant located in the new plaza on Markham Road and Steeles Avenue East. Their menu proudly boasts that most of their items are $5 or less, which always puts a smile on my face. For $4.99 for a chicken kurma curry or butter chicken, how could you go wrong? Their prices may be one of the lowest around (competing in Babu Catering's range) but the quality is very decent. The company also apparently has (had?) a sister location in Chicago. Definitely a must try if you're in the area.
