Big Smoke Burger (formerly Craft Burger) has my vote for best burger in the city.
I prefer them to BQM and Burger's Priest for sure.

Been to Big Smoke a hundred times.
Love the Blue burger and the poutine is pretty good as well.
All stores are listed as having green on the dine safe site.

Agreed - place is disgusting. Last time I went the entire window and wall was covered in flys. So gross and management did nothing.

I moved to Toronto 3 years ago and have been eating at Big Smoke (I still call it Craft) ever since. On average I and my girlfriend get a burger from their King St West location 1-2 times a week. I always get the same thing, Organic Beef Burger with cheese. I have never had any complaints, until earlier this month.

1) Cleanliness - We sat on the North side of the restaurant. After 5 mins, while waiting for our order, my girlfriend noticed the entier back window was covered with Black Flys and were on her back. It was disgusting. So we moved. - Not a big deal.
2) Incorrect Order - The cashier was new, which is fine. I asked for a regular bun on my burger. I then also confirmed with the cook that my burger had a regular bun. I got my order and it was a whole wheat bun. I told the server and she said they could remake but I said it was ok. - Not a big deal.
3) Food Quality - I always get the Organic burger (unless they run out). In 3 years, I have never had a complaint and it is always amazing - the primary reason I always come back. This time it tasted completely off, no flavour and looked like a processed patty. I ate half and nothing changed with the taste and since it has never happened in 3 years I told your server and 2 cooks. The organic patties are not the same (i assume cheap substitution) - This was a big deal because its the main reason I come back.
4) Customer Service - I was NOT offered a new burger or a refund. I was told by the server that if it was only 2 bites they may have been able to do something but not when its half finished. After having to deal with flys all over your wall, an incorrect order and poor food quality (all which the server was awareof) - I was offered nothing. This was an absolute piss off.

I left from Big Smoke with a bad taste for the first time (food and service). Burger Preist just opened on Queen, approx. the same distance as Big Smoke. People have said that is the best burger in town but I never bothered because I have always been happy with Big Smoke. I tried Burger Preist - IT IS SO MUCH BETTER. Big smoke is not even close and the location is disgusting / full of flys. Goodbye Big Smoke.

Lastly, sent management a email. Havent received a response in almost a month.

Totally not impressed. Organic patty is not what it used to be, exceedingly poor customer service, so much sauce on my last burger it was nearly inedible. Really gone down hill, will not touch.

Now this is a tasty burger! ;) Should be higher up the list IMO. I usually get the classic cheeseburger w/smoked cheddar and all the fixings. Kills Burger Priest's griddle w/ processed cheese any day of the week.

Bad service and bad burgers. Actual burger was passable, just tiny and of poor quality. I couldn't BELIEVE that the fries were as bad as they were. All shrivelled up, over-cooked crumbs (scraped off the bottom???) and just plain horrible. I will never ever go there, and will not let anyone I know eat there. Spread the word! Over-priced and disappointing.
