This particularly harsh review is no longer relevant in my opinion. A new chef is in charge, and there is a noticeable difference in the food quality. The decor still leaves something to be desired, but certainly worth another look!

I agree with James. The food is certainly not awful, and can only think that something must have been terribly wrong when this was last reviewed. Had a slider sampler last night which had Pastrami, Corned Beef and Pulled Pork, all which were delicious. I asked our server where they got their Meats from, and was shocked to learn that they are now making and smoking lots of great new items on premises. I definitely think The Ben Wicks Deserves another review.

I whole heatedly agree with both James and Amber. My experiences at the Ben Wicks have been pleasant and the food far exceeded my expectations for the price I paid. With their international selection of beers, I was able to pair my dinner with a excellent German beer hard to find in most Toronto restaurants. The overall decor is a bit dated but can be overlooked with the friendly and prompt service I have received dining here. Overall I would recommended this restaurant/pub to my family and friends without hesitation.
