Belmonte RawBelmonte Raw has finally opened in Leslieville near the corner of Queen and Pape. On the menu? Fresh juices and delicious raw food. The quality and taste here can't be beat although some might rightfully complain of high prices (nothing substantial is less than $14) and limited food options. Available for eat-in or take-out.

Walked by the store this weekend and took a look at the menu. Cute place, BUT $10+HST for a smoothie? How disappointing.

I walked in around quarter past 4. About 4 tables of 2s. I inquired about the menu, only two options were availabe - both were a whopping $14. The two options are both packgaed in a plastic container sitting in the fridge. I asked if the salad would be made a la minute, then the clerk responded, "I could, but we're actually closed before you walked in." There are still guests in the room, eating lunch. I felt very unwelcomed and forced to leave the restaurant. If you're going to rip me off, at least do it with a smile.

Did you ask what was IN the smoothie?
It was most likely a smoothie with ingredients well worth $10, not just some banana strawberry smoothie.

Hemp hearts, chia seeds, super greens, etc... those ingredients aren't cheap but are exceptional for your health and there is no price for that! :)
