I've been to a few pubs in TO and this would probably not be my first choice of places to go... The food is okay - definitely nothing to write home about and the service was minimal. BUT I can say that they have an outdoor patio and there tends to be no line up which in a pinch it can probably fill the need..

GREAT PLACE -- lots of interesting folks. The ladies who go there are nice eye candy, cool and well dressed. The guys "regulars" are an assortment of different types but mostly workin stiffs like me who want a pint and a gab. There's the odd jerk like in any joint. (Why are most a$$holes in a dt Toronto pub English immigrants?) Don't go there lookin to be treated like a visiting digitary by the staff because you'll be disappointed. Order what the server recommends and tip them 20%. That way you might see them again when you go back. Oh yea, Sunday night roast beef dinner depends on the day so ask before you order.

It's got a unique charm that I enjoy quite a bit. It's a fun bar to stumble upon in a nice tucked-away spot of the neighbourhood. I can't say I've tried the food, so I'm solely basing this on the building and beers. Both are great. The patio in the summer is always a favourite for the locals. The upstairs is quite cozy as well. Beer was beer. A few selections on tap.
