Arisu IzakayaArisu Izakaya is the latest contender for the massive space at the corner of Bloor and Markham. The restaurant offers an extensive selection of Korean dishes including table top BBQ as well as an array of Japanese eats.

I been there, there food is above average and clean

But the price was pretty high for Korea town standards...
I saw more foreigners then Koreans

Hope that restaurant survives well, as the writer mentioned, that location has a long list of failures...starting from MacDonalds!

I'm a pretty regular at this restaurant and I can tell you that it gets better as you visit more often. I felt really invited when the servers remembered me :) the food is amazing. the sushi is something you'll wanna go back for more and bbq is pretty good but I definitely love the new sizzling stone pots. I know the price is quite high for the bbq and all but there are other really good lower priced dishes as well. Should be a good start for korean food.

While the food was good. The service was at most average, if not poor. But my friends and I were chased down for, and was lectured for our low tip, which made the whole experience end awkwardly and unpleasantly. If you are not willing to dish out the money, do not expect quality service, there are much better Korean restaurants in the area that have high quality cheap food with better humbling service that will leave you a happy customer.

I've never been so disrespected in my life! I've been to a lot of Korean and Japanese restaurants and this place had the worst service. First of all, we were ignored for such a long time before someone came to take our order. The sushi was mediocre.. Then the waitress came and insisted that we pay before we finished eating. I don't appreciate having to stop eating to pay my bill. Every restaurant I've been to allows you to pay once you've finished eating. That has never happened to me before. I thought it was weird. And to top it off, the waitress included gratuity without asking and smiled as if she was doing nothing wrong (we were only a party of 3). I thought it was strange that the price never came up on the interact machine... I got my receipt and she had added her own tip! A restaurant that steals from customers?? I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO ARISU AGAIN!! I AM BEYOND DISAPPOINTED!!!!!
